Welcome to the beta version of the community platform of the Canadian Association for Information Science (CAIS). In line with CAIS’s mission to support and promote Canadian Library and Information Science research, the CAIS community platform aims to provide CAIS members with a space to host virtual events such as conferences, workshops and webinars, and to share their work with with the our community and beyond.

Information Without Borders Conference

Information Without Borders’ 2021 theme is Information as Power, focusing on how information can be used as a means to empower minority groups and advocate for change. Information Without Borders is an annual conference for both students and professionals working and interested in the field of Information Management. The conference is run by students in Dalhousie University’s Master of Library and Information Studies program.

UWO Workshop

FIMS Graduate Research Day is the spiritual successor to the venerable FIMULAW conference. This event is being hosted by CAIS and will use the Zoom platform. Friendly reminder, this event is free of charge and you are welcome to invite attendees to any or all portions of the event.
